Mission Statement

Department of Michigan Public Relations Web Page (DMPRWP) a tool for our members to promote The American Legion, and what we do in supporting our Vision of a strong America through our advocacy of the 4 Pillars.

Goals

  • To give our Department of Michigan Members a Single Point of Contact to post information readily available to our Michigan Legion Family via the web.
  • Increase public awareness and understanding of the missions, policies and programs of the Legion and the great things we do.
  • Inspire patriotism and promote the memories of Veterans.
  • Foster good relations on mutually acceptable terms with the public that The Legion comes into contact with.
  • Attract eligible veterans to join The American Legion as we continue to serve America and our fellow Veterans.

Your State Public Relations Committee wants to hear about the good work your Legion does in your communities and make these stories available to our Legion Family.  These stories, however, are separate from photos and material you submit to the Michigan Legionnaire for publication.
