Federal and State Priorities:

  1. Continued Support For Suicide Prevention Programs For Veterans
  2. Funding For More Veteran Homes
  3. Continued Support / Funding For a Veterans Cemetery in the Upper Peninsula
  4. Aquire Funding For HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Availability For Veterans With Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  5. Request Reintroduction To PolyFluoroAlkyl Substances "PFAS Act"

State Priorities:

  1. Funding for the Michigan Veteran Coalition Service Officer Program So That It Does Not Lapse To The General Fund At End Of The Fiscal Year
  2. The State Of Michigan Will Require Anyone Filing Claims On Behalf Of Veterans Be A V.A. Accredited Veteran Representative. Pass Legislation To Enable Prosecution Of Those Who Assist Or File V.A. Claims Without V.A. Accreditation
  3. Continue To Support The Property Tax Exemption Given To 100% Disabled Veterans From Service-Connected Injuries
  4. Support Funding To Reimburse Local Units Of Government From The Loss Of Propery Tax Revenue Based On Those Who Qualify For Property Tax Exemption
  5. Support The Modernization Of Charity Gaming Such As Electronic Pull Tabs
  6. Oppose Any Effort To Outlaw Mechanical Devices Such As Games Of Skills Machines
  7. Extend the Eligibility Of The State Bonus To Vietnam Veterans Who Didn't Previously Qualify After 1973
  8. Provide Free Lifetime Access to Michigan State Parks For Veterans, Gold Star Family Members and Active Duty Military
  9. Allow Military Spouse Stationed Overseas Access to Electronic Absentee Voting
  10. Establish Green Alerts for Veterans and Service Members at Risk

Other Identified Concerns:

  1. Paid Tri-Care Coverage For Dependants Of Retired Military Until the Age Of 26
